Fire up the grill and throw on some slabs of BBQ Pumfu!
Homemade BBQ marinade takes Pumfu to a whole nother level. Perfect for the summer grill outs or really anytime you're craving classic BBQ vibes. Get a couple blocks and try this recipe out this weekend!
Ingredients
- 3 blocks Pumfu
- 2 TBSP granulated garlic
- 1 TBSP granulated onion
- 3 TBSP dark chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp chili flakes or to taste
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 TBS maple syrup
- 1½ TBS mustard
- ¼ cup soy sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Slice/ cube Pumfu according to preference
- Whisk ingredients together in a medium saucepan
- Submerge the Pumfu slices/ cubes in the marinade
- Bring to boil on medium to high heat. Boil for 5 minutes. Turn down to simmer and cook for about 2 hours
- • Store Pumfu slices in marinade until use. Will keep up to 7 days in refrigerator or you can freeze individual pieces of Pumfu for later use
