Pumfu Bacon

All the flavors of bacon but plant based!

If you love the taste of bacon but also love cute little pigs than definitely try out this amazing recipe. Goes great with pancakes and Pumfu Scramble!


  • 1 Block Pumfu
  • 1 TBSP Smoked paprika
  • 3 tsp liquid smoke
  • 6 TBSP soy sauce/coconut aminos
  • 8 TBSP olive oil
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp salt


  • Cut Pumfu into slices, approximately 1/8” thick
  • Whisk marinade in a large Tupperware/ dish
  • Lay Pumfu slices in the marinade, alternating directions so that that the slices are separated and submerged
  • Marinate 4-6 hours or overnight in the fridge
  • Place Pumfu slices on baking sheet next to each other, but not overlapping. Brush Pumfu slices with leftover marinade. Bake at 400 F for 10 minutes
  • Will keep up to 7 days in refrigerator or you can freeze individual pieces of Pumfu for later use
